Duality: ZF features:
- 6 game modes (home, survival, arcade, score rush, bullet , boss rush)
- 4 control modes (solo play, dual play, multidirectional, and one secret control mode)
- 4x local multiplayer
- 96 different game styles
- 96 online scoreboards (including individual and team scores)
Every game mode can be played with every control mode. Every game mode and every control mode can be played with one to four players. Every game mode and every control mode and every different number of players has its own unique online scoreboard. Two to four player games count as team efforts in which every player received the team score and competes against other equally-numbered teams globally. Duality: ZF is locally cooperative and globally competitive. It kicks . Unlike some other Xbox LIVE Community Games, your scores will never “drop off” the bottom of the scoreboard list. Duality: ZF will be one of the most fun and competitive video games on the Xbox 360.

This game looks …
This game looks pretty awesome… and the music is pretty badass as well!
I program with xna …
I program with xna and am really happy when i see quality material,
but in the ways of truly good content,
I dont see much.
James silva is the best though,
zp2k9, and dishwasher are amazing.
And that footage of SCX in xna is so awsome, he is one of the only producers of solid contet on CG.
There are some other decent games,
but nothing i played more than a day( i still love and play ZP)
Im sure other people have more things they like but every time i see”johnny quest” i die a lil inside.
looking better and …
looking better and better
Nice, looking …
Nice, looking forward to this!
XBLCG . info serves …
XBLCG . info serves to show that this isn’t quite correct. There are at least 10 or 20 good games out of the bunch (250 in total). To find them, 1 in 10 or 1 in 20, is hard, unless you have a system to rate them, which is exactly what XBLCG . info is for. So, I’m all for it.
When Duality: ZF is released, we hope to change some of the perception of Community Games.
Consider that XNA has produced at least 2 quality XBLA (Xbox Live Arcade) games: Dishwasher and Schizoid. XNA is powerful.
I know haha,
some …
I know haha,
some kid asked for alink to an engine,
and i posted it near 12 times and was like wat the is this crap.
but yeah ive visited that site, still community game is basically only visited by people who program games with xna, but everbody who deosnt just doesnt seem to give a crap.
Its probaly because they arent interested in seeing what can be accomplihed with XNA, they mainly just see a stink pitt full of perverted massage games.(Although i wouldnt neccesarily disagree : )

Multiplayer is …
Multiplayer is wicked. Imagine 4 or 8 fighters with the firepower displayed here.
I agree first impressions are important and that they are often poor with Community Games. There’s a user rating website that you should use (and spread around to your friends).
(I’ll post it shortly, since YouTube keeps rejecting my comment; this is my 3rd attempt, grr)
Wow guys this is …
Wow guys this is getting quite a bit of attention,
its great to see!
Anyway cant wait to play this after you mentioned the multiplayer, hopefully my friends would wise up and actually glance at the community games for once,
I cant blame them entirely though,
One bad experience can really skew a persons view, and the odds of someone having a bad experience with community games is pretty high
awesome! keep up …
awesome! keep up the good work!
We’ll be releasing …
We’ll be releasing it on PC afterwards. I can’t make any promises when, since it needs more work for that — we need to account for variable CPU and GPU speeds and need to jump into new distribution channels (likely Steam).
i’d love to play it …
i’d love to play it as im a HUGE shmup fan but im very not interested in a 360 :p.
This is the …
This is the SURVIVAL mode, one of six game modes. In it you have one life per fighter, and you try to last as long as possible. In multiplayer this mode is awesome as there’s always that last lone fighter pushing the team score as high as it can! (Multiplayer has team scores, no individual scores, due to the team-nature of the game.)
This game is …
This game is looking much more intense since I last remembered it. Like I want to plop quarters into it to play.
i have tried to …
i now see your vision, and maybe you now see ours: our game is simple on purpose, with concentration on pure move and shoot arcade gameplay, extended to the maximum intensity.
i have tried to contact VTF-INO to showcase our game!
That’s the kind of …
That’s the kind of play style I was thinking of (strategic to get the highest score) but extended and built further upon to take account of a single player using two ships.
Admittedly, that goes against your aim of 8 player/ship bullet so it really doesn’t apply.
Trying to think of something that would fit with your theme and freely admit, it isn’t easy…
Yes. Those gamers …
Yes. Those gamers are amazing!
Out of interest, …
Out of interest, have you seen the Ikaruga dual play videos?
Yaustar, you speak …
Yaustar, you speak of a ship-interference dynamics. It’s a completely separate idea from dual play. Usually it’s when ship A shoots ship B, ships A’s bullets are modified and more powerful. Or ships that connect, which ruined the point of dual play. We planned on having extreme advanced multiple ship dynamics (which I cannot mention yet), but it will be pushed back to the sequel. It will come, and dual play is a far greater feature than such things.
Any mechanic …
Any ideas are welcome.
Any mechanic available for Dual Play ships would also be available for multiplayer. (No mechanic exists, but we have ideas.) Your award for controlling two ships = double firepower + more screen coverage without movement. Modifying the firing direction for Dual Play ships converging may hurt a want to combine power to kill particular enemies fast. The response must remain predictable, as control is hard already. The game gets intense; we want you to react, not think.
Duality: ZF is not …
Duality: ZF is not standard since Dual Play is implemented natively, meaning it understands 1 user it controlling 2 ships, and thus shares remaining fighters between them, and shares their score, and gives auto-fire and morphs the weapon with a single button/trigger to make it easier to control. Also, all 4 users can have 2 ships (8 in total). In a real arcade, none of this would be possible; you’d be limited by the mechanics that exist due to their design of uming 1 user controls 1 ship.
Oh. No offense but …
Oh. No offense but the game holds less charm for me then. I was actually hoping for some interesting mechanics involving using both ships rather then simply controlling two ships with one pad (e.g When Ship A shoots Ship B, Ship B fires sideways instead of forward).
Now it just sounds like a standard shump.
also, yaustar, the …
also, yaustar, the reason both ships do not die when one ship gets hit (in dual play) is because the concept of dual play is controller two players at the same time. just like plugging two quarters into both players in an arcade. two independent players at the same time. we combine the scores of these “two players” as the game recognizes there is only one person playing, but wanted to leave the original concept the same.
yaustar, dual play …
yaustar, dual play is completely optional! the game is designed around multi-fighter action (multiplayer or dual play single player) but you can play solo play (one ship) single player, too! dual play may be unlockable, forcing everyone to play solo play to not deter newcomers who cannot grasp dual play immediately!
